The News Bar's location, bordering the university district and the trendy Schwabing neighborhood, is a perfect late afternoon people-watching spot, especially if the sun's out. Or, enjoy a cocktail or coffee in the cozy, low-lit indoors café section while perusing the stack of local and international magazines and newspapers (cocktail specials run about 5€ during happy hour from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.).

Got the nibbles? There are burgers, sandwiches, pasta, soups and salads on the menu (4-8€), and breakfast is served all day long. Pastries are homemade, if you're hankering for something sweet.
